Making safeguarding personal
"What good is it making someone safer if it merely makes them miserable?" - Lord Justice Mundy, “What Price Dignity?” (2010)
Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP) emphasises a personalised, simplified approach to adult safeguarding. It places the individual at the centre of any safeguarding process with consideration of their views, wishes and desired outcomes, so that they have choice and control.
This approach is at the heart of all adult safeguarding work, and places focus on improving quality of life, wellbeing and safety.
We want to ensure the principle of MSP is embedded in all that we do in Hammersmith & Fulham, ensuring that we work alongside adults who may be experiencing abuse or neglect.
